Your hotel experience is improved when you, by the touch of a button, can close the blinds or press a button to let the concierge know that you need a taxi in 5 minutes or the front desk to prepare your bill. All this can only be really useful when it is simpler, more intuitive and easier to use than conventional technology alone.

At Promoveo we strongly believe in a co-existence of functionality and design – what works better should also look better and vice versa. Therefore all our development projects involve both technical and design people, where both professions are involved from day one.

The technology in a Digital Home can be programmed to operate systems in the house, like lighting and heating on set routines. If the user wants to override any of these programmes they can do so easily from anywhere inside the house – giving control when you want it, or letting the house be managed for you.

The Digital Home provides an interface through which people can not only control their house but also access information about it retrospectively. In particular this technology can show people how much energy they are using at any time, or have used previously. This can be invaluable in helping individuals to reduce their energy consumption, by demonstrating where energy is being used unnecessarily and how much impact energy saving improvements can have. Access to such detailed information can help people better decide how they want to manage their own home according to their own priorities.
