Multiroom audio systems allow for the simultaneous distribution of music from several sources to many zones within a building.
The music sources can be centralised in one convenient place, while allowing endusers to select their favourite music to play anywhere within a property.
Users can easily access their music from wherever it is stored (CD player, music server, MP3 player). They can have one music source playing all over the building or each discrete zone or room in a building can play different music. Music can travel with you wherever you are in the house and become a personal experience; the system supports multiple users simultaneously so family members can listen to the music they want to without disturbing others.
The Promoveo platform provides integration to the WHD KNX multiroom audio system.
The WHD KNX system offers decentralised control of sound source selection, volume and sound equalisation. The WHD system supports up to 8 sound sources and up to 4 sound zones per audio device. For a larger number of rooms, the devices can be cascaded. Also featured is a music port - a wall holder with audio amplifier and charging function for portable music players like iPod and iPhone. WHD also manufactures an extensive range of loudspeakers.
