The PTS-1 Server has been designed specifically to run the Promoveo application, providing a reliable and flexible home management solution.
It manages the connections to external subsystems, such as automation and audio, operating as an integrated control hub. The server connects to the local broadband network to manage local system control and to allow for remote access.
Promoveo Software
The application consists of:
- management software pre-loaded onto the Promoveo Server
- configuration software for the installer and
- client software allowing for user control of connected devices.
The management software on the Server monitors the local network for realtime status of connected devices, sending and receiving control information to and from the client display screens. The client displays are used to visualise, monitor and control the connected devices such as lights, blinds and audio devices. Each client display can be used to control devices local to the display unit (at room level) or on a housewide level.
Server design
The Promoveo Server has been designed for flexibility with the installer in mind, coming as a standalone box or one that can be slotted into a 19” rack mount. The Server is delivered with both the management software and the Configuration Tool pre-installed (the Configuration Tool can easily be ported to the installer’s laptop for convenience). The Server is designed for running the Promoveo software constantly, offering immediate response to the client devices.
